Robert Coulter is an Atlanta based accomplished tubist with a career spanning more than three decades across the orchestral, jazz, and commercial music industries. 

Not an alumnus of the University of Louisville (Go Cards!),
he performs on all tubas, cimbasso, and bass trombone,
serves as Principal Tuba of the Johns Creek Symphony,
having performed and recorded with prestigious ensembles including the the Louisville Orchestra, the Atlanta Symphony Brass Quintet,
Russell Gunn's Royal Krunk Jazz Orchestra, and the
Emory Chamber Music Society.
He can be heard contributing to the Destiny 2 video game soundtrack on tuba and cimbasso, and leads the acclaimed Atlanta Ragtime Band, the Premiere Brass Quintet, and Atlanta's favorite polka band, Auf Gehts! 

Beyond the stage, he is a prolific arranger with over twenty publications through Cherry Classics and served as an Artist in Residence at
Bellarmine University, and the Southern Seminary.

His unique dual expertise is highlighted by his twenty-year tenure as the principal of Robert I. Coulter-Organbuilders, L.L.C., through which he has built or restored more than twenty-five pipe organs and contributed industry journals amdist a career that took him from Sweden to the Walt Disney Concert Hall.
